Summer Mornings

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of a three day weekend. That meant a lot of things but one of the most important was that I got to hangout with my sweet Janie while her big sister and brother got on the school bus. The weather was perfect, as this entire August has been. 20140827-163941.jpg

Summer Snack

I’ve never been one for apples, but since Lilly eats them so often I’ve started to indulge in a couple slices here and there. It’s a good healthy snack, and a few apple slices here and there seem to be curbing my intense sweet tooth. Of course, they are delicious dipped in caramel too.

These Are The Best Days Of Our Lives

If you’re getting bored with pool pictures, then move me out of Phoenix. It’s the only way to be active outdoors these days.

Taking the dog on walks and spending hours each day in the pool.

These really are the best days of our lives.

Fourth Of July – Recipe Share

A couple of months ago I sent an email to the author of my favorite

blog asking her if I could share some recipes with my readers. I

never heard back from her. Turns out, she gave the wrong email

address! Christy, from The Girl Who Ate Everything, finally

answered my fan mail and approved my request. Thanks Christy!

From now, until the Fourth of July, I’m going to share a delicious

idea from her blog, which I urge you to check out here. Check back

daily for great solutions to every bugging question, “what should I

take to the BBQ?”

Patriotic Strawberries
Ingredients:
1 pound (16 ounces) strawberries
6-8 ounces white chocolate baking squares, almond bark, or white chocolate chips
blue sanding sugar or sprinkles

Note: If you use white chocolate chips add some shortening so that the consistency is better for dipping.
Instructions:
Wash and dry strawberries. In a small microwave safe bowl microwave white chocolate in 30 intervals in the microwave until melted. Stir until smooth.

Dip one strawberry at a time in the white chocolate shaking off excess chocolate. Dip in the sanding sugar then place on wax or parchment paper to dry. Repeat with remaining strawberries and refrigerate until serving. Makes around 16 dipped strawberries.

I’m Back

Waaake up everybody, Blair is back!

I haven’t posted to this blog since May 1st! Oh my gosh it feels great to be back. Everybody needs a summer vacation, right?

The past 38 days have been interesting, to say the least. I took my family to Miami where our main form of exercise was chasing a two year old, and walking EVERYWHERE. It was awesome.

I wore a hot pink bikini.

Did I just admit that? YUP!

I didn’t do it justice, but I’m proud of myself for at least wearing it. If you guys are patient, I will post later today a gazillion pictures. More has happened in the past 38 days besides just Miami, but I have to be hush about it still so bear with me. I’ll drop the dirty news soon enough.
