I’ve already told everybody I work with, to keep the candy away from me.
Today when I got to work, there was a handful of sweets on my desk.
I stared at them – Thinking about how yummy they would taste.
I wanted to eat them all. Like, now.
I put them in my drawer.
Out of sight, out of mind, right?
Not so much.
I opened that drawer, snatched them all up.
Walked half way across my office..
And re-gifted them to a non-dieting co-worker.
Then ran away without looking back. Nobody likes an Indian giver.
I’m proud of myself.
If this were 2, 3, maybe even 4 days ago
I’d have eaten them.
In like 2.7 seconds.
Working out and working hard is giving me pride in my body and health.
Since I haven’t seen any physical results yet
it’s nice to notice the mental results.
